Board certification by an American Veterinary Medical Association-recognized specialty ensures that your pet is receiving the highest level of care possible. Board certification comes only after years of rigorous training and testing to prove that the veterinarian has attained a sufficient level of proficiency to be granted Diplomate status. To learn more about board certification in veterinary medicine, visit the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine at www.ACVIM.org. Select the Pet Owners Tab, then select Animal Education, then select About Board-certification and Board-certified Small Animal Specialists.
